The Right Way To Learn
December 28, 2020
Over the years, I have told my kids thousands of times, "You can learn the easy way, or the hard way. Listen to me, and I'll help you learn the easy way."
In their adult lives, I realized I needed to adjust the emphasis in that message.
The hard way isn’t bad—it’s just hard.
I had learned the hard way a number of times after earning my motorcycle license. I had a whole new level of respect for the implications of balance—at all levels of understanding.
Try the hard way. You'll often learn much more directly... often, much more rapidly.
Therein lies the balance. There is no singular "right" way to learn—only the easy way or the hard way.
Choose wisely.
Some things are best learned the easy way.
